Looking for the best caramelized toast in Bangkok? June Pang has quickly become one of the city’s most talked-about dessert cafés, serving thick buttery toast with a crispy caramelized top, silky homemade custards, and creamy coconut milk ice cream that’s well worth the wait.

I first visited June Pang a year ago while searching for the best caramelized toast in Bangkok, and one dessert immediately stood out—their signature Pandan Custard Toast. It was so good that I couldn’t stop thinking about it long after my trip ended.

So now, whenever I’m on Banthat Thong Road, I make sure June Pang is one of my first stops. After taking that first bite again, I knew it was every bit as delicious as I remembered. Some places are worth coming back to, and for me, this is definitely one of them.

Located on the lively Banthat Thong Road, June Pang has quickly become one of Bangkok’s most popular dessert cafés. Although it’s still a relatively new café, it has already built a loyal following. When we visited, the café was packed, and we had to wait for a table. Luckily, the wait was worth it.

One of the most enjoyable parts of our visit was watching the desserts being prepared.

Thick slices of bread were slowly cooked in a pan as a bubbling caramel mixture was repeatedly spooned over them, allowing the bread to soak up the rich caramel while developing a beautifully golden, crispy exterior.

The highlight was watching the Banana Brûlée being carefully torched until the sugar formed a thin, crisp caramelized layer.

Seeing everything made fresh right in front of us made the experience even more enjoyable and built the anticipation before our desserts arrived.

We also ordered the Steamed Toast with Custard (69 THB). The bread arrived fresh from the steamer—you could still see the steam rising from each slice. It was incredibly soft, warm, and fluffy. It came with both Thai tea custard and pandan custard for dipping. While the Thai tea custard was good, I personally preferred the pandan custard. It was rich, fragrant, and paired perfectly with the warm bread, practically melting in my mouth.

As a nice touch, the café also serves free pandan juice and water, which was refreshing and helped balance the sweetness of the desserts. The relaxed atmosphere made it a great place to sit back and enjoy an afternoon treat.

If you love toast desserts, creamy custards, or sweet treats, June Pang is definitely worth visiting. The quality of the bread, the silky homemade custards, and the perfectly caramelized topping make it one of the most memorable dessert cafés we’ve visited in Bangkok.
